Las lesiones musculoesquel\u00e9ticas deben tratarse con las pautas que nos dan los traumat\u00f3logos y fisioterapeutas, para lograr una mejor y m\u00e1s r\u00e1pida recuperaci\u00f3n. Los especialistas del <a href=\"https:\/\/www.riberasalud.com\/\"><span class=\"s2\">grupo sanitario Ribera<\/span><\/a> coinciden al recomendar fr\u00edo para como tratamiento inicial en las lesiones traum\u00e1ticas, como un esguince o contusi\u00f3n, as\u00ed como para las tendinopat\u00edas; y el calor para las afecciones musculares leves o de grado cero, m\u00e1s conocidas como contracturas, as\u00ed como para en algunos traumas, una vez pasadas 72 horas, y alternando con el fr\u00edo. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">El fr\u00edo ayuda a controlar la inflamaci\u00f3n, los calambres y el dolor, sobre todo en las primeras 48 horas tras el traumatismo que provoca la lesi\u00f3n, ya que disminuye la circulaci\u00f3n, la actividad metab\u00f3lica y adormece la piel al contraerse los vasos sangu\u00edneos, disminuyendo el flujo de sangre a la zona afectada.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">El calor, por su parte, mejora el rendimiento de los tejidos suaves r\u00edgidos o cicatrizados, alivia el dolor y los espasmos relacionados con las lesiones de cuello, lumbares y espalda. Adem\u00e1s, el calor ayuda a mejorar las contracturas, que se producen cuando el m\u00fasculo est\u00e1 \u201capretado\u201d, y tambi\u00e9n se recomienda para los casos de dolor cr\u00f3nico. Los profesionales aseguran que el calor beneficia la movilidad de la zona afectada y la flexibilidad y elasticidad de los ligamentos y tendones. La temperatura dilata los vasos sangu\u00edneos, aumentando el flujo de sangre, el ox\u00edgeno y los nutrientes que llegan a los tejidos da\u00f1ados. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Los profesionales del grupo Ribera recomiendan que ni el fr\u00edo ni el calor se apliquen directamente sobre la piel, para evitar quemaduras, y aconsejan intervalos de 10 minutos para el fr\u00edo y de 20 a 30 para el calor.
