Se habla de<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>insuficiencia venosa<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>cuando las varices no son capaces de devolver al coraz\u00f3n toda la sangre que llega a las piernas. Aunque para algunas personas es solo un problema est\u00e9tico, para otras es muy molesto.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La sangre transporta el ox\u00edgeno desde el coraz\u00f3n a todo el cuerpo por unos conductos llamados<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><strong>arterias.<\/strong><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Cuando la sangre llega a los \u00f3rganos y tejidos, deja all\u00ed el ox\u00edgeno y regresa al coraz\u00f3n por otros conductos que se llaman<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><strong>venas.<\/strong><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Cuando la sangre tiene que volver desde las piernas al coraz\u00f3n, debe vencer la fuerza de la gravedad. Para ello, las venas tienen un mecanismo para empujar la sangre. Cuando falla, la sangre se estanca en las venas, sus paredes se dilatan y pierden su forma, apareciendo las varices.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00bfQui\u00e9n suele tener varices?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Son m\u00e1s frecuentes en las<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><strong>mujeres.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Personas que est\u00e1n mucho tiempo<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><strong>de pie o sentadas.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Personas<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><strong>obesas.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Embarazadas.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Suelen empeorar con el<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><strong>calor<\/strong><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>(verano).<\/p>\n<h2>\u00bfCu\u00e1les son sus s\u00edntomas?<\/h2>\n<p>Los principales s\u00edntomas son pesadez y cansancio en las piernas, picor, dolor sobre las varices, calambres musculares e hinchaz\u00f3n de las piernas, sobre todo en los tobillos.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00bfQu\u00e9 se puede\u00a0hacer?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Evitar el <strong>exceso de peso<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Haz ejercicio f\u00edsico<\/strong> de forma regular (caminar, nadar, montar en bicicleta).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Evita estar cerca de fuentes de calor<\/strong> (estufas, radiadores, saunas).<\/li>\n<li>Si sientes las piernas cargadas, apl\u00edcate <strong>duchas de agua fr\u00eda<\/strong> sobre ellas; te aliviar\u00e1n).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Evita el estre\u00f1imiento<\/strong>. Bebe 2 litros de agua al d\u00eda y, si es necesario, haz una dieta rica en fibra.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Evita llevar ropa muy ajustada<\/strong> (fajas, ligas, cinturones y pantalones apretados, calcetines con goma estrecha).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Evita el zapato plano y el tac\u00f3n muy alto<\/strong>.
