Se calcula que\u00a0<strong>el 1% de la poblaci\u00f3n padece esta intolerancia.<\/strong>\u00a0Con motivo de la celebraci\u00f3n hoy del\u00a0<strong>D\u00eda Internacional del Cel\u00edaco,<\/strong>\u00a0te explicamos en qu\u00e9 consiste esta enfermedad, que puede aparecer en cualquier edad de la vida, tanto en ni\u00f1os como en adultos, as\u00ed como los alimentos que la\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.semfyc.es\/es\/\">Sociedad Espa\u00f1ola de Medicina de Familia y Comunitaria (Semfyc),\u00a0<\/a>aconseja y desaconseja tomar si se padece esta enfermedad.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.blogdesalud.riberasalud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Que-es-ser-celiaco.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3584 aligncenter\" alt=\"Que-es-ser-celiaco\" src=\"https:\/\/riberasalud.com\/blog-de-salud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Que-es-ser-celiaco-300x199.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>En la celiaqu\u00eda el intestino no puede digerir el gluten, m\u00e1s concretamente la<strong>\u00a0gliadina,<\/strong>\u00a0una prote\u00edna vegetal que se encuentra en el trigo, la avena, el centeno y la cebada. Aunque tradicionalmente se ha cre\u00eddo que se trataba de una enfermedad poco frecuente y que afectaba fundamentalmente a ni\u00f1os, hoy se conoce como un proceso con\u00a0<strong>una elevada prevalencia mundial,<\/strong>\u00a0que afecta al 1% de la poblaci\u00f3n (m\u00e1s a mujeres que a hombres, en una proporci\u00f3n 2:1). Aunque\u00a0<strong>tiene una base gen\u00e9tica bien definida,<\/strong>\u00a0puede aparecer en cualquier momento de la vida, tanto en ni\u00f1os como en adultos, estim\u00e1ndose en un 20% los casos diagnosticados en mayores de 60 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Entre sus s\u00edntomas,<\/strong>\u00a0puede provocar dolor de tripa, gases o diarrea. Tambi\u00e9n disminuye la absorci\u00f3n de otros alimentos necesarios, lo que provoca p\u00e9rdida de peso, detenci\u00f3n del crecimiento, anemia, etc. Se controla si se hace<strong>\u00a0una dieta sin gluten,<\/strong>\u00a0lo que permite llevar una vida normal.
